Attending a Bellevue Schools Foundation event during my daughter's elementary years opened my eyes to the critical importance of the foundation's work. I started as a volunteer ambassador, driven by the desire to uplift education for all students in Bellevue. Today, as a staff member, I continue to witness the vital role the foundation plays in shaping brighter futures for our children.

I absolutely love being a teacher. I teach because I love being able to have a positive impact on the lives of ALL our students. I love challenging them to be stronger people mentally, emotionally and academically. I love teaching in BSD because the community of students and staff is diverse, warm, welcoming and accepting of all.

Diversity in our district isn't just enriching, it's shaping future leaders. At Highland, our children feel valued, challenged, and prepared to make a positive difference, finding belonging and connection in a true home for families.

We live in a time where facts can be Googled. Spelling can be corrected at a touch of a button. It is creativity and imagination and listening that sets us apart from the machines. The world needs minds who think differently.
